SubmitSentry

A job application checklist

Keep a private record of a job application.

Application portals can close, remove a vacancy, or omit a confirmation email. SubmitSentry can help you remember the ordinary, non-sensitive details you chose and the visible page around them.

Install free from the Chrome Web Store

Five captures are included free. Lifetime access is €9.99 once.

Before you submit

  1. Complete and review the application yourself.
  2. Open SubmitSentry and capture only ordinary details you need to remember, such as the employer, role title, requisition reference, and answers you may need later.
  3. Remove passwords, national identification numbers, health or disability information, demographic answers, financial details, and anything else that should not be stored.
  4. Save the private record, then return to the portal and submit normally.

After submission

If the portal shows its own confirmation, reference, or submitted status, attach that page to the same record. The portal's own status and any employer acknowledgement remain authoritative. If the page fails or no acknowledgement appears, contact the employer or recruiter through an official channel.

Know the limit: a SubmitSentry record is not proof that an employer received, reviewed, accepted, or acted on an application. It does not establish hiring status or outcome.

SubmitSentry does not submit the application, inspect uploaded resumes, monitor the portal, or send receipt content to its service. Receipt content stays in Chrome on your device.
